Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Penang is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 4 years on-site experience to monitor and administer contracts and sub-contract works, prepare progress reports, and recommend payments.

You will handle take-off quantities, site measurements, costing, tender preparation, and final accounts; prepare progress claims and invoices for clients and consultants; negotiate costs with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in quantity surveying or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in construction site.
• Experience taking-off, site measurement, costing, tender preparation, claim evaluation and final accounts.

• Monitor and administer contracts and sub-contract works; prepare progress reports, recommend payments, issue variation order certificates and finalize accounts documents.

Job description

Monitoring and administering various contracts and sub-contract works including preparing progress reports, recommending payments, issuing variation order certificates and finalizing accounts documentation.

Conduct verification of material requisitions, take-off quantities and site measurements of completed work.

Prepare progress claims and invoices for clients and consultants to ensure effective project management.

Prepare, call and evaluate tenders as well as value variation orders.

Negotiate building and material costs with subcontractors and suppliers.

Manage the processing of claims from consultants and subcontractors related to project matters.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in quantity surveying or related fields.

4+ years of experience in construction site.

Taking-off, site measurement, costing, tender preparation, claim evaluation and final account skill.

Base in Penang.
