Job summary

Lee Swee Construction & Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable Site Agent / Senior Site Supervisor to lead on-site teams. You will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget while upholding quality standards.

You will coordinate trades, materials, and subcontractors, and liaise with clients and consultants to resolve issues. The role requires a diploma or degree in a relevant field, at least 5 years of site experience, and strong leadership, communication and planning

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, building or quantity surveying.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction site experience.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate site personnel.
• Excellent communication with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of drawings, specs, schedules and site coordination.
• Willing to travel between sites and work at construction sites.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site team to complete projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily site activities, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality standards, safety requirements and approved drawings are followed.
• Coordinate with QS on site measurements, variations, and claims.
• Maintain site records and provide progress updates to Project Manager.

Job description

Lead and manage the site team to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget and according to the required quality standards. Plan, coordinate and monitor daily site activities, manpower, materials, machinery and subcontractors in accordance with the project schedule.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and manage the site team to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget and according to the required quality standards.

Plan, coordinate and monitor daily site activities, manpower, materials, machinery and subcontractors in accordance with the project schedule.

Liaise and communicate effectively with the Client, Consultants, Subcontractors, Suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, safety requirements and project procedures.

Identify and resolve site issues, coordinate different trades, monitor project progress and take timely action to minimize delays and disruptions.

Coordinate with the QS team on site measurements, variations, claims and other commercial matters where required.

Maintain proper site records and provide regular updates on project progress, site issues, risks and required actions to the Project Manager / Management.

Perform any other duties and tasks as assigned by the Project Manager / Management

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant construction site experience, preferably with experience in a Site Agent / Site Manager / Senior Site Supervisor position.

Strong leadership and team-management skills with the ability to lead and motivate site personnel.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, Suppliers and internal teams.

Good understanding of construction methods, drawings, specifications, project schedules and site coordination.

Strong planning, organizing and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and take ownership of site operations and project targets.

Good knowledge of construction safety, quality control and site procedures.

Willing to work at construction sites and travel between sites when required.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage.
