Job summary

Printpack is seeking a Logistics/Export Coordinator in Malaysia to manage export documentation, coordinate with freight forwarders, and ensure timely shipments. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in logistics or related field with 2–3 years shipping experience.

Experience in manufacturing and knowledge of customs procedures are advantages. You will maintain records for audits, liaise with customers and internal departments, and monitor shipment progress from booking to delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in shipping.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping and export documentation.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and freight forwarding processes is an advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively with transporters, freight forwarders and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare export documentation where applicable.
• Ensure shipping documents are accurate and submitted within the required timeline.
• Maintain proper records of shipment documents for traceability and audit purposes.
• Coordinate with customers/supplier regarding shipping instructions and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents and transporters for export shipments.
• Arrange container booking, trucking, loading schedules and shipment collection.
• Monitor vessel schedules, ETD, ETA and shipment status.
• Ensure export shipments comply with applicable customs and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with relevant parties to resolve customs clearance or documentation issues.
• Coordinate with approved freight forwarders and transport providers.
• Obtain and compare freight quotations when required.
• Monitor transporter performance, delivery timing and service quality.
• Follow up on POD (Proof of Delivery) and outstanding delivery documents.
• Report recurring delivery or transportation issues to the superior.
• Provide shipment status updates to internal departments.
• Handle delivery-related complaints and coordinate corrective action.
• Verify transporter and freight forwarder invoices against agreed rates and actual services provided.
• Highlight discrepancies in freight charges for verification.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce transportation and logistics costs.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure shipping activities comply with company policies, applicable laws, customs requirements and customer requirements.
• Maintain complete and traceable shipping records for internal, customer and external audits.
• Support company requirements relating to RBA, ISO, customer audits and other compliance requirements.
• Ensure business activities are conducted ethically and responsibly in line with company policies and applicable supply-chain requirements.
• Support corrective and preventive actions relating to shipping or logistics findings.

Reporting

• Prepare daily / weekly / monthly shipping reports as required.
• Monitor shipment performance and outstanding shipments.
• Provide shipment information and analysis to management when required.
