Job summary

PS SEIKO SDN BHD in Iskandar Puteri Johor is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Officer (LMW) to join our team on a full-time basis. You will manage shipping documentation, coordinate logistics activities and ensure compliance with import/export regulations to keep goods moving smoothly.

The role requires a diploma or certification in logistics or related field, plus experience in shipping or customs operations. You will work with shipping lines, forwarders and clients to deliver reliable service.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Customs or related field.
• Experience in shipping, logistics or customs operations, preferably in import/export.
• Knowledge of customs procedures, tariff classifications and international shipping regulations.
• Proficiency with logistics management software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple shipments.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and compliance.
• Good written and verbal communication to liaise with stakeholders.
• Problem-solving and proactive approach to logistics challenges.
• Team player with ability to collaborate.
• Familiarity with Malaysian customs procedures and port operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping documentation (bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, customs declarations).
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders and customs brokers for cargo movement and clearance.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, tariff classifications and customs requirements.
• Track shipments across the logistics chain to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to resolve shipping and customs issues.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation and customs filings.
• Manage warehouse and inventory logistics coordination as needed.
• Communicate with clients regarding shipment status and delivery timelines.
• Support reports on shipping costs, performance metrics and customs clearance times.

About the role We are seeking a dedicated and organised Shipping & Logistics Officer (LMW) to join our team in Iskandar Puteri Johor on a full-time basis. This role is integral to our operations, responsible for managing shipping documentation, coordinating logistics activities and ensuring compliance with import/export regulations. As a Shipping & Logistics Officer, you will play a vital part in facilitating the smooth movement of goods through customs procedures and maintaining our reputation for reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

Preparing and processing shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs declarations

Coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders and customs brokers to arrange cargo movement and clearance

Ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, tariff classifications and customs requirements

Tracking and monitoring shipments throughout the logistics chain to ensure timely delivery

Liaising with internal departments and external partners to resolve shipping and customs-related issues

Maintaining accurate records of shipments, documentation and customs filings

Managing warehouse and inventory logistics coordination as required

Communicating with clients regarding shipment status and delivery timelines

Supporting the preparation of reports on shipping costs, performance metrics and customs clearance times

What we're looking for

Diploma or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Customs or a related field

Proven experience working in shipping, logistics or customs operations, preferably in an import/export environment

Strong knowledge of customs procedures, tariff classifications and international shipping regulations

Proficiency in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office applications

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously

Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with stakeholders

Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving logistics challenges

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Familiarity with Malaysian customs procedures and port operations is advantageous
