Job summary

The role coordinates daily shipments, liaises with carriers and agents, and ensures timely export/import documentation and clearance. Fluent in local languages is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business or a related field.
• Preferably 1–3 years of working experience in shipping, import/export, freight forwarding or logistics.
• Basic knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation and customs clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily import and export shipments including sea freight, air freight and land transportation.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, customs agents, suppliers and customers to ensure smooth shipment arrangements.
• Arrange shipment bookings, transportation schedules, cargo collection and delivery arrangements.
• Monitor shipment progress, ETA, ETD and delivery schedules.
• Follow up on shipment delays, discrepancies and other shipping-related issues.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding shipment requirements, delivery schedules and cargo readiness.
• Prepare, review and maintain shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BL), Air Waybills (AWB), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and Delivery Orders (DO).
• Coordinate customs clearance, import/export declarations, permits and related documentation with appointed forwarding agents.
• Ensure shipping documents are accurate, complete and submitted within the required deadlines.
• Verify shipment details, cargo specifications, quantities and shipping instructions.
• Ensure shipping arrangements and documentation comply with applicable import/export regulations and company procedures.

Job description

Coordinate daily import and export shipments, including sea freight, air freight and land transportation.

Job Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business or a related field.

Preferably 1–3 years of working experience in shipping, import/export, freight forwarding or logistics.

Basic knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation and customs clearance.

Familiarity with Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, invoices, packing lists and shipping arrangements.

Knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures, Incoterms and freight forwarding operations is an added advantage.

Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken. Able to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Strong communication, coordination, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Able to multitask, work independently and meet tight shipping deadlines.

Experience dealing with international suppliers, shipping lines or freight forwarders is an advantage.
