Job summary

AIMS Data Centre in Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre Operations Engineer to provide Level-1 technical support for internal and external customers, coordinating with Telco vendors and contractors to resolve issues quickly. You will maintain DC infrastructure services, monitor systems, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of data centre, telecoms and networking experience.
• Fresh graduates with Bachelor’s in Telecommunications/Networking encouraged to apply.
• Strong troubleshooting method and high self-esteem.
• Proactive with initiative and problem solving ability.
• Dedicated and eager to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level-1 DC infrastructure support including isolation, restoration and rectification.
• Carry out day-to-day data centre operations and on-site support.
• Escalate incidents per DCO processes and notify management.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for service outages.
• Monitor network, systems and services per DCO procedures.
• Produce incident reports and handover notes.
• Provide on-site hardware, software and applications support for external customers.
