Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced data centre operations technician to oversee shift team activities and ensure reliable data centre performance.

You will review equipment inspections, verify on-site data, and analyze events, faults, and alarm data to maintain optimal operation. The role requires a mechanical/electrical engineering background, MV/LV certification, and 3+ years in data centre operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or above in mechanical/electrical engineering, automation, or related fields.
• Hold valid high and low voltage operation certificates and air conditioning operation certificates.
• Over 3 years of experience as a data centre operations and maintenance technician.
• Experience with UPS, generators, chillers, and power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Team Ownership: Arrange and supervise the shift team's work to ensure smooth operations.
• Review facility equipment inspections and on-site shift handover data; analyze events and faults.
• Perform daily analysis of systems (BMS, BA, high-voltage monitoring, PDA, data centre management).
• Train according to SOP/EOP plans and verify SOP execution.
• Record and analyze abnormal duty reports and incidents; summarize causes and solutions.
