Job summary

DayOne, a leading data infrastructure company, seeks a skilled data centre operations technician in Malaysia. The role involves supervising shift teams, reviewing equipment data, and analyzing BMS and high‑voltage systems to ensure reliable operations.

You will train staff on SOPs/EOPs, document incidents, and implement continuous improvements. A strong engineering background and fault diagnosis ability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• College degree or above in mechanical and electrical engineering, automation, refrigeration, or related fields.
• Hold valid high and low voltage operation certificates and air conditioning operation certificates.
• Over 3 years of experience as a data centre operations and maintenance technician.
• Familiarity with UPS, generators, chillers, and related systems.
• In-depth knowledge of power distribution systems and UPS/chillers.
• Fault diagnosis and emergency handling capabilities.
• Strong sense of responsibility, detail orientation, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Team Ownership: arrange and supervise the work of the entire shift team to ensure smooth operations.
• Equipment and Data Review: review facility equipment inspections and verify operational data; oversee on-site shift handover data.
• Systems Analysis: daily analysis of interface display and usage issues in BMS, BA, high-voltage monitoring, PDA, and data centre systems; suggest improvements.
• Training and SOP Compliance: train according to shift plan; verify SOP and EOP execution.
• Incident Management: record and analyse abnormal duty reports and abnormal situations; summarize causes and solutions.
