Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Technical Lead focused on ITOM development and ServiceNow Discovery to deliver finalized Discovery Solutions and Service Mapping for key applications in a complex enterprise environment.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with CSDM, CMDB, and Service Mapping, including designing automated data gathering processes, scripting, and MID Server configuration, to ensure accurate configuration data and reliable discovery outcomes across production and non-production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 8+ years in CSDM-led CMDB implementations using ServiceNow.
• 5+ years implementing Service Mapping for multiple customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with process owners to understand the business service architecture and develop technical specifications and solutions
• Work with systems managers to ensure Discovery has appropriate access and permissions
• Provide visibility to the performance and issues related to Discovery
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to understand IT technology strategy that guides which requirements need to be gathered
• Work with Application SMEs to create and validate Service Maps for key applications
• Maintain the integrity of the Service Mapping module across production and non-production environments
• Installation/Configuration and implementation of the discovery tool

As a Technical Lead focusing on ITOM development and configuration on ServiceNow platform this resource will deliver finalized ServiceNow Discovery Solutions utilizing the ServiceNow Discovery Module

Responsibilities

• Work with process owners to understand the business service architecture and required information related to business/service map data and develop technical specifications and solutions
• Work with systems managers to ensure that the Discovery tool has the appropriate access and permissions to capture configuration information
• Provide visibility to the performance and issues related to Discovery
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to understand IT technology strategy that guide which requirements need to be gathered
• Work with Application SMEs to create and validate Service Maps for key applications
• Maintain the integrity of the Service Mapping module across production and non-production environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in CSDM led CMDB implementation using Service Now platform.
• At least 5 years of experience in Implementing Service Mapping solutions for multiple customers

Required Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills, reading logs, solving complex workflow issues; Writing maintainable code as per best coding practices wherever required.
• Experience in designing, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data
• Experience in Writing custom patterns for discovering custom/in-house applications
• Scripting and coding Discovery Patterns, CMDB, CMDB Types and Scripting
• Knowledgeable and familiar in the ServiceNow Discovery/Service Mapping offerings.
• Experience in Coding, Test Scripts and Configuration for ServiceNow Service Mapping along with ability to configure ServiceNow MID Servers in customer environments
• Delivering technical workshops on Service Mapping, Discovery, integration with full knowledge of CMDB/AMDB Lifecycle
