Job summary

Halton Group in Malaysia is seeking a motivated Service Sales Engineer to grow our service and aftermarket business. You will work with customers to identify their service needs and provide solutions such as preventive maintenance contracts, spare parts, repairs, upgrades and replacements, while building a strong local pipeline.

The role requires a technical degree and 3–5 years in service or technical sales, with excellent communication and relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field.
• 3–5 years in service sales, technical sales, HVAC, M&E, industrial equipment or related industry.
• Experience selling maintenance contracts, spare parts, upgrades, or technical service solutions is advantageous.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
• Willing to travel and hold a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow service sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
• Promote and sell preventive maintenance and service contracts.
• Follow up and secure service contract renewals.
• Identify opportunities for spare parts, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and equipment replacement.
• Conduct regular customer visits and develop strong, long-term relationships.
• Understand customers' technical requirements and propose suitable service solutions.
• Prepare quotations and commercial proposals and follow up until closure.
• Conduct technical presentations and explain proposed solutions to customers.
• Develop and maintain a healthy service sales pipeline.
• Work closely with Service Engineers, Technicians, and Coordinators to ensure smooth delivery to customers.
• Monitor market opportunities and competitor activities.
• Achieve assigned service sales and revenue targets.
