Job summary

Canon Medical Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Biomedical/Engineering technician to install, commission, and service a full range of medical equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, field testing, and troubleshooting while delivering excellent customer support in Malaysia. The role requires a degree in Biomedical or Electrical & Electronic Engineering, strong independent work capabilities, and initiative to learn new models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Eng / Electrical & Electronic or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to understand manuals, block diagrams and circuit diagrams and explain to engineers.
• Ability to work independently with integrity.
• Team player with good organization, interpersonal and communication skills for installation.
• Ability to perform Radiation Equipment Quality Control testing (for radiation worker).
• Initiative to learn new models or products.
• Sense of urgency for system breakdowns and ability to suggest decisions.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, perform routine preventive maintenance and upgrades of equipment.
• Field test and troubleshoot medical systems.
• Provide customer relations and ensure satisfaction on repairs and servicing.
• Provide training and technical support, perform standby duties, identify causes of breakdowns.
• Maintain records of service-related information for job, management and planning.
• Be a team leader in equipment installation.
• Assist in delivery of equipment sold.
• Ensure proper installation of test equipment, spare parts and keep them in good condition.
• Plan and execute FMI before due date.
• Plan and execute PPM before month end.

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Electrical & Electronic or equivalent.
• FRESH GRADUATES are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing, commissioning, routine preventive maintenance and upgrading of total range of company equipment according to the checklist and procedures.
• Responsible for field testing and troubleshooting of medical systems handled by the company.
• To provide customer relations and ensure that customer satisfaction on all repairs and servicing activities.
• To provide training, quality and responsive technical support to customers, perform standby duties, identify causes of equipment breakdown and undertake routine or performance linked maintenance.
• Maintaining proper records of all relevant service-related information necessary for the job, management and general planning.
• To be one of the team leaders in equipment installation.
• To assist in delivery of equipment sold.
• Responsible for the proper installation of the company's test equipment, equipment and spare parts, maintaining these items in clean and perfect condition.
• Responsible in planning and execution of FMI before due date.
• Responsible in planning and execution of PPM before month end.
