Job summary

Marketech International Sdn Bhd is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to support and manage medical equipment and healthcare technologies. You will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and train customers while ensuring service quality and timely reporting.

You will perform inspections, conduct maintenance, and maintain the Service CRM while collaborating with teams to improve service delivery and adhere to MOH Malaysia standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in biomedical/medical electronics or related engineering.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate and troubleshoot biomedical equipment at client sites.
• Conduct quality control inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Provide on-site training and user support to healthcare staff.
• Prepare service reports and document maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to improve service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with MOH Malaysia standards and QMS.

Job description

We’re seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineer to support and manage biomedical equipment and healthcare technology solutions. You’ll be responsible for equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing technical support to clients and healthcare facilities. Your strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills will be essential in ensuring optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

Conduct quality control inspections on equipment to detect physical damage or technical issues.

Install and commission equipment at customer sites in accordance with company standards.

Deliver training to customers on equipment operation and basic user-level maintenance.

Diagnose and resolve technical problems, implement corrective actions, and perform system testing within management-defined timelines.

Prepare accurate, timely, and professional reports for internal management and external customers.

Ensure efficient resolution of service repairs and prevent backlog of faulty units returned by customers.

Maintain and update the company’s Service CRM database within specified time frames.

Communicate customer feedback and current issues promptly to management.

Collaborate with team members to identify and implement service delivery improvements.

Continuously expand product knowledge and strive to reduce repair turnaround times.

Oversee and control the implementation of medical equipment services in compliance with contractual agreements and Ministry of Health Malaysia standards and regulations.

Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and all applicable regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

Possess at least Diploma / Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronic, Electronic Engineering or any related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably with exposure to Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering industries.

Ability to work independently with a strong results-oriented approach.

Mature, self-motivated, and capable of performing under pressure.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with all levels of management and operational staff.

Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Technical and mechanical aptitude, including the ability to interpret service manuals and technical schematics.

Must possess own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel as required.
