Kloe Hotel in Kuala Lumpur is seeking dynamic individuals to join our F&B team and ensure guests have a memorable dining experience. If you love hospitality, coffee, and meeting people, we want to meet you!

You will greet guests, understand menu offerings, make recommendations, maintain cafe cleanliness, coordinate with service and kitchen, and help deliver prompt, friendly service to all guests. The role emphasizes English communication, teamwork, and a can-do attitude, with several staff perks

Qualifications

• Fluent English is a must for handling international guests.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth guest experience from entry to seating and service within promised times.
• Maintain cleanliness in cafe area and surroundings.
• Ensure cleanliness of cutleries, crockeries and other items.
• Understand each menu item, make recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Make guests feel welcomed and well taken care of.
• Greet customers cheerfully, start conversations and engage with guests.
• Manage guest expectations by listening and responding to preferences.
• Back-end preparation of food, cutleries, storage of items and food.
• Prepare mise-en-place for ready-to-eat meals.
• Handle difficult conversations and diffuse upset customers.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth guest experience for guests: from stepping into the living room, to getting their food accurately, within the promised time, to making them feel taken care of.
• Ensure cleanliness in the cafe area and its surrounding.
• Ensure the cleanliness of cutleries, crockeries and other items used during operations.
• Understand each item in the menu, make recommendations and ensure customers' satisfaction.
• Ensure all guests feel welcomed, comfortable and well taken care of.
• Greet customers in cheerful and welcoming manners, start a chat and engage with customers.
• Manage customers' expectations by listening and responding to their preferences or requests.
• Back-end preparation of food, cutleries, storage of items and food.
• Preparation of mise-en-plas for ready to eat meals.
• Manage unpleasant conversations and diffuse upset or uncomfortable customers.

About you

• Fluency in English is a must, as you will be handling international guests.
• Strong Communication Skills - greet customers in cheerful and welcoming manners, start a chat and engage with customers, display of pleasant non-verbal gestures.
• Strong social awareness and interpersonal skills, manage customers' expectations by listening and responding to their preference or requests.
• Coordination with service and kitchen team members. Because you won't be working alone, your collaboration skill is gold.
• Creative skills, thinking and acting extra miles to provide outstanding guest experience.
