About the role

We are seeking a Service Crew to join the team at Pastaney Restaurant in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Service Crew member, you will be the face of our restaurant, responsible for providing attentive, professional service whilst maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. Your contributions will directly impact guest satisfaction and the overall success of our establishment.

What you'll be doing

Greeting guests warmly and seating them at their designated tables in a timely manner

Taking accurate food and beverage orders whilst providing knowledgeable recommendations from our menu

Serving food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring items are delivered to the correct guests

Maintaining awareness of table status and guest needs throughout their dining experience

Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately

Clearing and resetting tables efficiently between service periods

Restocking service stations with necessary supplies and ensuring dining areas remain clean and organised

Communicating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operations

Addressing guest concerns and complaints professionally and escalating issues when necessary

Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a restaurant, café or hospitality environment is highly desirable

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner

Strong attention to detail and the ability to process orders accurately

Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and the ability to carry multiple items safely

A positive attitude, reliability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and cash handling

Knowledge of food and beverage service standards is preferred

Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
