Job summary

HSBC Amanah in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Premier Financial Director to lead relationships with the bank's Top Tier Premier clients, delivering tailored wealth solutions and responsible for portfolio performance.

You will work with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure risk-balanced delivery while maintaining regulatory standards and building long-term partnerships with high net worth clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in financial services with at least 3 years as a Relationship Manager.
• Evidence of strong client recommendations and sales results in wealth products.
• Equivalent relationship management experience with high net worth portfolios preferred.
• Expert knowledge in financial planning and wealth products.
• Sound knowledge of macro/micro/local market developments.
• Expert knowledge of external regulatory framework relevant to wealth management.
• If internal, in-depth understanding of HSBC Global House Views.
• Strong client focus and ability to develop long-term partnerships with clients.
• Ability to deliver needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing, and sales skills.
• Local regulatory & license requirements – possess valid licenses with accreditation as required.
• Clear view on working with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment.
• Able to communicate well in English and local languages.
• Attain appropriate professional qualifications (CFA or CFP preferred).
• Ambitious in delivering high standards to colleagues and clients.
• Ability to set stretch goals and deliver with courage and tenacity.
• Authentic and able to engage with colleagues and clients.
• Able to protect HSBC & Global Wealth values, reputation and business.

Responsibilities

• The role is client facing, managing HSBC relationships with Top Tier Premier clients (> RM3Mil investible assets).
• Acquire, develop and retain relationships with Top Tier Premier clients.
• Understand clients' short and long-term financial goals and provide informed financial advice.
• Regularly review Top Tier portfolio to identify opportunities across HSBC lines of business and geography.
• Increase client loyalty by meeting their needs directly or with internal partners.
• Understand and adhere to local and global compliance requirements.
• Ensure portfolio performance aligns with Wealth and Personal Banking TBM and Top Tier propositions.
