Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer / Sales Manager in Malaysia for water treatment and industrial solutions. The role blends technical sales, business development and project opportunity management, with potential seniority based on experience.

Travel to customer sites, consultants and partners will be required. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, has at least 5 years in related sales roles, and is proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, business development or similar engineering-commercial role.
• Experience selling industrial equipment, engineered products or technical solutions preferred.
• Exposure to water, environmental, infrastructure or process-related industries advantageous.
• Strong customer-facing, communication and negotiation skills.
• Candidates with proven experience developing new markets or leading sales activities may be considered for Sales Manager level.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Possess own transport and willingness to travel for customer and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customers, markets and business opportunities across Malaysia and selected overseas markets.
• Manage customer inquiries, technical discussions, quotations and follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
• Understand customer and project requirements and recommend suitable engineering products or solutions.
• Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with customers, consultants and contractors.
• Build and maintain relationships with key project stakeholders to generate new and repeat business.
• Coordinate with internal technical and operational teams to progress opportunities from enquiry to project completion.
• Identify new applications, market segments and potential channels for business expansion.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences and industry events where required.
