Job summary

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd in Klang, Malaysia is seeking an Application Sales Engineer (Water Treatment / Chemical Process). This full-time role focuses on generating new leads, expanding market opportunities, and supporting project specifications across WT/CPI sectors.

You will manage key accounts and collaborate with inside sales on pre- and post-sales activities, while traveling extensively to cover East Malaysia and other regions as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering and professional qualification in Sales & Marketing is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience of sales & technical knowledge in industrial applications, primarily water treatment and chemical processes.
• Clear understanding of overall sales cycles especially project based.
• Ability to manage several projects at the same time.
• Able to read technical drawing/design.
• Able to travel extensively inclusive of East Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Expand market share with existing customers with focus on Water Treatment (WT) and Chemical Process (CPI).
• Acquire new customers/leads focused on WT/CPI OEMs, EPCs and end-users in industry and public sectors (non-ME).
• Support the sales team with customer-facing sales support, product and application knowledge for WT and CPI.
• Assist Product Management to identify product gaps and build attractive business cases.
• Increase brand awareness of the company’s industrial WT/CPI products in Non-ME markets.
• Offer, project and sales tracking for WT/CPI in Non-ME markets.

Position Summary

Responsible for generating new leads and expanding market opportunities through client engagement, product training, and project specification support. Manages key WT/CPI accounts, executes GF WT/Chem growth strategies, and collaborates closely with the inside sales team on pre- and post-sales activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Market share expansion with existing customers with clear focus on Company's Industrial product portfolio offering.
• Acquiring new customers/leads, with a particular focus on (but not limited to) Water Treatment (WT) and Chemical Process (CPI) OEMs, EPCs and end-users primarily in the industry and public sectors expect Microelectronics sector
• Support of existing sales team with customer facing sales support, product and application knowledge for the Water Treatment and Chemical Processes (Non-Microelectronics)
• Supporting Product Management to identify product gaps and assembling attractive business cases.
• Increase brand awareness of Company’s industrial product range for Water Treatment and Chemical Processes in Non ME markets
• Offer, project and sales tracking for Water Treatment and Chemical Processes in Non ME markets

Requirements :
