Job description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and modernize our dual-site distribution operations in Malaysia (Selangor and Penang). You will lead day-to-day fulfilment, drive operational process standardization, oversee modern Warehouse Management System (WMS) adoption, and lead multi-site facility optimization projects.

You will serve as an organizational leader responsible for workforce planning, team recruitment, and managing operational personnel across three core groups: Fulfilment Associates, Logistics & Fleet Drivers, and Inventory & Logistics Administrators.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operational Leadership & People Management

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations across both facilities, ensuring high-accuracy receiving, storage, picking, packing, and timely customer dispatch.

Direct and develop multi-tiered operational teams, including Fulfilment Associates (floor operations), Logistics & Fleet Drivers (local transport), and Inventory & Logistics Administrators (office & reverse logistics).

Lead recruitment, workforce scheduling, performance management, and capability building across all site locations.

Partner closely with commercial leadership to support sales forecasts and uphold strict customer fulfilment SLAs (On-Time, In-Full).

2. Process, Technology & Inventory Governance

Drive process standardization across both sites, establishing clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for receiving, inventory control, and dispatch.

Act as the internal lead for the sourcing, deployment, and adoption of modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supporting inventory tools.

Maintain rigorous inventory accuracy, stock rotation (FEFO/FIFO), and cycle counting protocols.

Standardize administrative workflows for reverse logistics, including Proof of Delivery (POD) reconciliation, customer returns handling, and audited stock quarantine processes.

3. Facility, Fleet & Safety Oversight (HSE)

Act as internal project manager for facility modernization, layout optimization, and storage capacity upgrade initiatives.

Maintain a strict safety-first environment in full compliance with DOSH/JKKP, BOMBA, and local regulatory frameworks.

Manage preventive maintenance schedules for facility infrastructure, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and delivery vehicle fleets.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

8-12+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse management, distribution operations, and fleet logistics in Malaysia.

People Leadership:

Proven track record of managing multi-tiered teams (supervisors, floor associates, drivers, and admin staff).

Technical Experience:

Hands-on experience with WMS implementations, process optimization, or warehouse layout/facility upgrade projects.

Regulatory Compliance:

Strong working knowledge of Malaysian workplace safety laws (DOSH/JKKP, BOMBA) and transport fleet compliance.

Software Competency:

Proficient in enterprise ERP/WMS systems and advanced Excel for inventory analytics.

Languages:

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
