• Degree with at least 5 years' underwriting experience in Life, Accident and Health is required or considered with relevant certification.

• Team leadership and countersigning responsibilities.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess applications for life, accident & health, and long-term care proposals.
• Lead a team of junior underwriters, providing guidance and countersigning their work.
• Ensure all applications are processed and followed up per service level agreements.
• Provide underwriting advice to financial representatives and agency managers.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to financial representatives.
• Review guidelines and processes to support operations and compliance.
• Mitigate regulatory and business risk as part of accountability.
• Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends.
