Job summary

Great Eastern is seeking professionals in Kuala Lumpur to execute strategies and develop new business approaches. You will canvass for new leads and secure business through OCBC branches and clients, while gathering market intelligence for strategic planning.

The role includes sales activities, credit control monitoring, and mentoring juniors. Expected candidates have 4–8 years in general insurance sales with underwriting skills, strong integrity, and the ability to adapt to regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in any fields. AMII or DMII preferred but not compulsory.
• 4–8 years of working experience in a similar capacity.
• Broad insurance experience in sales and marketing with underwriting skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategies and develop new business strategies to obtain more business from OCBC branches and clients.
• canvass for new business leads and secure them through OCBC branches and its clients.
• Gather market intelligence for management planning and decision making.
• Conduct sales and business activities to OCBC branches and its clients.
• Monitor credit control on portfolios in care.
• Coach and develop subordinates in conducting sales and business activities.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and all policies and compliance matters.
• Underwrite new risk within authorized limits and develop new marketing approaches.
