Job summary

RHB Banking Group in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives from concept through closure, coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strong governance, regulatory awareness and ability to deliver on time and within budget while maintaining thorough management reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Insurance/Banking/Bancassurance/Financial Services/Strategy & Transformation/Project Management/Business Development.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
• Experience in preparing business cases and management papers.
• Experience working with senior management and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage strategic projects from conceptualization, planning, implementation to closure.
• Establish project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones and resource requirements.

Job description

• Lead and manage strategic projects from conceptualization, planning, implementation to closure.
• Establish project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress against agreed timelines, budget, scope and expected outcomes.
• Identify project risks, issues and dependencies and drive timely resolution.
• Establish appropriate project governance, including steering committees, project working groups and management updates.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards.

Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the central coordinator between internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and ensure alignment across different business functions.
• Facilitate project meetings and management discussions.
• Ensure clear communication of project objectives, progress, key decisions and required actions.

Regulatory & Governance

• Ensure strategic initiatives and projects are aligned with relevant regulatory, risk, compliance, legal and governance requirements.
• Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Legal and other control functions throughout project development.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals and governance are completed before implementation.
• Maintain proper project documentation and audit trails.

Management Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Consolidate information from different business units for monthly management reports update.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Insurance/Banking / Bancassurance/Financial Services/Strategy & Transformation/Project Management/Business Development.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
• Experience in preparing business cases and management papers.
• Experience working with senior management and multiple stakeholders.
• Exposure to banking/insurance products, digital transformation and regulatory requirements would be an advantage.
