Job summary

Billennium is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead a cloud platform implementation for the insurance sector. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, engineers, and QA to ensure timely, on-budget delivery of a large-scale cloud transformation.

The role requires deep cloud knowledge, strong leadership, and exceptional stakeholder communication in a regulated environment, with emphasis on governance and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Technical Project Management, Program Management, or Technology Delivery roles.
• Experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation or platform implementation projects.
• Experience managing large matrixed teams of 40–50+ across multiple technical disciplines.
• Prior experience in BFSI, preferably Insurance, is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery, CI/CD, DevOps, databases, integrations, and enterprise architectures.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and governance in regulated industries.
• Experience leading across Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud platform implementation projects, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are met.
• Drive project planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder communication across the project lifecycle.
• Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and delivery metrics for successful outcomes.
• Coordinate multiple technical workstreams including Business Analysts, Developers, DB Engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Oversee cloud platform implementation from architecture alignment to post-production support.
• Ensure alignment between technical plans and business objectives.

We are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation of a next-generation cloud-based platform within the insurance domain. This role will act as the key orchestrator across business and technical teams, driving the successful delivery of large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.

You will manage a cross-functional team of over 40 professionals, ensuring seamless collaboration between business stakeholders, engineering teams, infrastructure specialists, and QA functions. The ideal candidate combines strong project leadership capabilities with solid technical knowledge in cloud technologies, software delivery, and enterprise-scale implementations within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud platform implementation projects, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are met.
• Drive project planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder communication across the project lifecycle.
• Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and delivery metrics to ensure successful outcomes.

Technical Leadership & Coordination

• Coordinate and align multiple technical workstreams, including Business Analysts, Software Developers, Database Engineers, Cloud Infrastructure Engineers, DevOps teams, and QA specialists.
• Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making across architecture, application development, infrastructure, integration, and data migration.
• Ensure alignment between technical implementation plans and business objectives.
• Oversee cloud platform implementation from architecture alignment, infrastructure setup, application development, migration, deployment, and post-production support.
• Work closely with cloud architects and engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native practices and modern software delivery methodologies.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, technical dependencies, resource constraints, and delivery bottlenecks.
• Ensure proactive resolution of issues impacting timelines or business outcomes.
• Manage interdependencies across multiple teams and vendors.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, executive leadership, vendors, and technical teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business updates and actionable insights.
• Provide regular status reporting, forecasting, and executive-level presentations.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all deliverables comply with insurance industry regulations, security standards, data privacy requirements, and internal governance policies.
• Collaborate with security, risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure full regulatory adherence.

Requirements

Experience

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to lead large cross-functional teams and drive accountability across workstreams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Added Advantage

• Experience in Insurance or Financial Services cloud transformation projects.
• PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications.
• AWS certifications are a plus.
