Job summary

Schindler Malaysia is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer (New Installation) to drive new installation sales targets and manage tender processes. You will promote Schindler brand to owners, consultants and architects while maintaining key customer relationships and ensuring compliance with sales processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of three years in lift/M&E/construction.

Senior Sales Engineer (New Installation)

Main Responsibilities

• To achieve Malaysia's new installation sales targets.
• To manage the transaction and progress of documentation in line with the commercial policy of the group.
• To actively promote the Schindler global brand.
• To ensure adherence to the Sales Excellence Process.

Key Functions

Business Development

• Prepare tender submissions, attend tender negotiations, and secure sales orders.
• Provide support and services to existing and new clients to maintain and/or establish new business relationships and contacts, planning design influence and future sales.
• Analyse/study building information provided by building designers/consultants to prepare a traffic analysis report.
• Actively look for commodity opportunities, especially for medium and high-scale projects.
• Actively follow up on tender/negotiation status with customers.
• Able to close a job with minimum supervision.
• Continuously seek new customers/consultants and foster good working relationships with all stakeholders.

Customer Management

• Manage customer expectations.
• Maintain good relationships with customers.

Product Knowledge

• Present products to owners, consultants, and architects.
• Convince customers with Schindler solutions.

Occupational Health & Safety

• Drive and promote safe behavior in accordance with the Schindler OH&S Management System.
• Plan and implement continuous improvement actions.
• Support safety initiatives and implementation.

Additional Responsibilities

• Any other ad hoc projects or assignments as directed by management from time to time.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business Studies.
• Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably within the lift, M&E, or construction industry.
