Job summary

Carlo Rino Group Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned Retail Operations Manager to drive strategy execution, optimize store performance and lead a high-performing frontline team.

You will oversee customer experience, inventory control, budgeting and compliance across outlets, while building partnerships with mall management and suppliers to expand market presence. The role requires travel to outlets as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of retail operations management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in retail operations, sales performance management, customer service and team leadership.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese to communicate effectively with diverse customer base and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the retail landscape, consumer behaviour, industry trends and best practices.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel to retail outlets when required.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of retail strategies aligned with the Company's vision and business objectives to achieve sustainable sales growth, profitability and market expansion.
• Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and develop actionable retail plans with measurable targets.
• Monitor commercial performance by managing sales, profitability and key retail performance metrics.
• Oversee retail operations by ensuring consistent execution of policies, SOPs, customer service standards, visual merchandising and compliance.
• Drive operational efficiency and service excellence through continuous process improvements and best practices.
• Champion a customer-centric culture, ensure seamless shopping experiences, analyse feedback and strengthen customer loyalty.
• Oversee inventory performance, implement effective inventory control and loss prevention strategies to maximise stock productivity.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing retail organisation and foster accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Lead organisational change and business transformation initiatives, including new store openings, digital adoption and process optimisation.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with mall management, landlords, department stores and other partners to drive growth.
