Job summary

Private Advertiser in Johor is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee and optimise our retail and consumer products operations. This full-time role focuses on driving operational excellence, implementing efficient processes, and ensuring seamless day-to-day management across our retail facilities.

You will lead staff, monitor inventory, analyse KPIs, manage budgeting, and liaise with suppliers to sustain high service standards. Fluency in English and Malay is required; Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in retail operations management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Data-driven decision making and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of POS systems and inventory tools.
• Fluency in English and Malay; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Business/Retail Management preferred.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail operations across locations and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, cut costs, and boost profitability.
• Manage and supervise retail staff including recruitment and training.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and supply chain management.
• Ensure excellent customer service standards.
• Analyse operational metrics and KPIs and report findings to senior management.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Maintain health, safety and security standards.
• Liaise with suppliers and external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior management and operational teams to foster excellence.
