Job summary

TechTalent, a Malaysia-based tech staffing solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to lead recruitment within Malaysia's IT and engineering sectors.

You will manage the full lifecycle from intake to placement, build client relationships, headhunt hard-to-fill roles, and develop sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, JobStreet and Foundit. Hybrid work in Petaling Jaya with visa restrictions.

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in Malaysia; visa sponsorship not available.
• 4–6 years of recruitment experience, ideally in agency/staffing.
• 360-degree recruitment with delivery and client/account management.
• Strong IT/Engineering market knowledge in Malaysia.
• Independently manage vacancies from intake to placement.
• Excellent headhunting and candidate sourcing for hard-to-fill roles.
• Knowledge of salary benchmarks and the Malaysian talent market.
• Experience with recruitment databases/ATS and major sourcing platforms.
• Strong Mandarin and English communication for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to drive recruitment success within Malaysia's IT and Engineering sectors by managing the full recruitment lifecycle and building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from requirement intake to successful placement and post-placement follow-up.
• Conduct detailed discussions with clients and hiring managers to understand technical needs, budgets, experience expectations, and hiring priorities.
• Develop sourcing strategies for both active and passive candidates.
• Source and headhunt candidates using platforms such as LinkedIn, JobStreet, Foundit, recruitment databases, referrals, and networking.
• Screen and interview candidates to assess technical suitability, experience, communication skills, motivation, and availability.
• Prepare professional candidate profiles and present suitable candidates to clients.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain consistent communication between candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process.
• Build and maintain sustainable talent pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill positions.
• Manage and develop relationships with clients across Malaysia, acting as a recruitment partner and providing market intelligence and hiring insights.
• Negotiate recruitment terms, fees, and commercial arrangements where required.
• Manage multiple client accounts and vacancies simultaneously while achieving agreed targets.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• 4–6 years of recruitment experience, preferably within a recruitment agency, staffing company, or professional recruitment environment.
• Proven experience managing 360-degree recruitment, including recruitment delivery and client/account management.
• Strong recruitment experience within the Malaysian IT and Engineering market.
• Proven ability to independently manage vacancies from requirement intake through to successful placement.
• Strong headhunting and candidate sourcing capabilities, particularly for specialist and hard-to-fill positions.
• Good knowledge of the Malaysian employment and talent market, including salary expectations and candidate availability.
• Experience using recruitment databases/ATS platforms and major sourcing platforms.
• Strong spoken and written Mandarin and English communication skills to support Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Nice-to-have:

• Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and develop existing client accounts.
• Strong experience dealing directly with clients, HR teams, hiring managers, and senior stakeholders.
• Experience recruiting for Data Centre, Infrastructure, or Manufacturing sectors in Malaysia.
