Job summary

Conspec Builders Malaysia is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our main building works contract, responsible for pre-contract tendering and post-contract commercial management across building projects in Malaysia.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and 3+ years’ experience with a main contractor or building subcontractor, with strong skills in building projects and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying required.
• Experience with main contractors or building subcontractors.
• Strong background in building construction projects.
• Proven ability in build-up rate analysis and cost estimation.
• Experience handling pre-contract and post-contract works end-to-end.
• Familiar with standard construction contracts.
• Proficient in QS, estimating, and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Tendering, estimating, and pricing for main building works.
• Prepare and review build-up rates (labour, materials, plant, preliminaries).
• Cost planning, BQ preparation, and tender analysis.
• Subcontractor procurement, comparison, negotiation, and award.
• Manage post-contract QS functions including progress claims and final accounts.
• Commercial reporting and contract administration.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project managers, and site teams.
