Job summary

Pembinaan Infrastruktur Borneo Sdn Bhd seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of property development and construction projects. You will prepare budgets, cost plans, tender documents, and procurement strategies, while evaluating tenders and negotiating with stakeholders to maximise profitability.

You will monitor costs, cash flow, and final accounts, manage disputes, and provide strategic advice to minimise risk.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Preferably more than 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management and project financial controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in pre-qualification exercises, tender bids and preparing quotations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial, financial and contractual aspects of property development and construction projects.
• Prepare project budgets, cost plans, tender documents and procurement strategies.
• Evaluate tenders and negotiate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, budgets and overall financial performance.
• Manage contracts, valuations, progress claims, variation orders, extensions of time and final accounts.
• Review and assess commercial claims and resolve complex contractual disputes.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and requirements.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to management to minimize risks and maximize profitability.
• Ensure all projects comply with contractual, legal and relevant industry requirements.
• Coordinate with project, construction, finance, procurement and consultant teams throughout the lifecycle.
