Vescope Sdn Bhd, a firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for on-site work based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The role covers full pre- and post-contract cost management across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

You will develop cost plans, BOQs, manage tenders, evaluate bids, and support BIM-based surveying processes while maintaining strict budget control and high-quality reporting for clients and stakeholders.

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field is required or beneficial.

Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for full pre- and post-contract cost management on building and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day duties include preparing cost plans and estimates, developing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), managing tender processes, evaluating contractor bids, and preparing contract documentation. The role involves monitoring project budgets, performing cost control and value engineering, preparing periodic cost reports, and advising on financial and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors, participate in site meetings, and support the implementation of BIM-based quantity surveying processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in cost planning and cost management, including the ability to develop accurate budgets and forecasts.


• Candidates should possess expertise in BOQ preparation and measurement, with solid knowledge of standard forms of measurement and contract documentation.


• Candidates should possess experience in cost control and cost reporting, including monitoring expenditures, preparing interim and final accounts, and producing clear financial reports.


• Candidates should possess proficiency in pre- and post-contract quantity surveying, tender evaluation, value engineering, and contract administration.


• Candidates should possess strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and competency with relevant QS and BIM-related software.


• Candidates should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.


• A recognized degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field, and membership or eligibility for membership in a professional body (e.g., LJUBM or equivalent), would be beneficial.


• Relevant experience in building and infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments, and familiarity with Malaysian construction regulations and standards, would be advantageous.


• Eligibility: Candidates must possess the legal right to work in Malaysia without requiring visa sponsorship.
