Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and project planning.
• Experience with BIM and cost estimation software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Tuah Bersatu Jaya Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Sabah. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

What you\'ll be doing

Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects

Negotiating and administering contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

Monitoring project costs and cash flow, and providing regular updates to the management team

Liaising with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects

Identifying and mitigating financial risks, and proposing cost-saving measures

Providing expert advice and guidance to the construction team on contractual and commercial matters

Mentoring and developing junior quantity surveyors within the team

What we\'re looking for

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry
• Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project planning
