Job summary

Southern Lion Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a full-time Purchasing Executive to source and procure materials for manufacturing operations. You will manage suppliers, analyze costs, plan procurement, ensure quality and on-time delivery, and negotiate contracts and prices, while supporting cost-saving initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business and 5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, with strong negotiation, data analysis, and team

This full-time Purchasing Executive role at Southern Lion Sdn Bhd offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company in Johor Bahru, Johor. You will play a crucial part in supporting the company's operations by effectively sourcing and procuring materials.

What you'll be doing

Play significant role in supplier management, cost analysis, procurement planning and ensuring quality and timely delivery of goods

Responsible to request for cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices

Review supplier performance

Plays significant role in cost saving activities

What we're looking for

Relevant degree in a field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business

5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry

Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external parties

Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with a keen eye for detail

Excellent problem-solving with good knowledge in applicable laws and regulations (such as SST, import duty and etc.)

Familiarity with procurement software and systems

A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach to work
