Jora Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source contractors and suppliers locally and overseas, evaluate vendors, and maintain supplier lists.
You will negotiate prices, terms, delivery methods, and provide logistics support to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to group policies. A degree in engineering or business and 5+ years in engineering/construction procurement are required.

Responsible for sourcing of new contractors/ suppliers from local and overseas.
Manage the contractors/ suppliers’ evaluation and selection process.
Review the contractors/ suppliers’ performance and make recommendations when necessary.
Maintain and update the contractors/ suppliers list.
Price comparison and negotiating fair costs based on product specifications and quality standards.
Negotiated for the price and terms of payments as well as the methods and means of delivery.
Reconcile all purchasing issues for assigned commodities.
Maintain a clear knowledge of sources of supply and related sources for the purchase of commodities, and services as assigned.
Communicate with suppliers on critical supply issues.
Generate and issue Purchase Orders for all confirmed purchases.
Ensure all Purchase Orders are placed with pricing and terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed.
Provide logistic/ shipping support, prepare custom clearance documents for tax exemption, monitor and ensure timely material deliveries.
Maintain proper record on stock/ materials movement and balances.
Observe all procedural and documentation requirements of procurement.
Ensure all procurement activities are carried out according to the Group policies and procedures.
Provide support to Project Department including working and coordinating with Project Managers/ Engineers to determine procurement needs for all projects.
Assists departments in defining purchasing needs and resolving associated problems.
Accountable for the quality, safety, health and environmental management and performance at the workplace and project site.
Undertake special assignment, ad hoc functions and related duties as assigned
Degree in Engineering/ Business Study or any relevant discipline
At least 5 years in the related field, preferably within the engineering and construction environment
High level of integrity drives and result oriented
Strong analytical thinking, resourceful and attention to details
Ability to multitask, working on several projects at any one time
Ability to work well in a team environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
