Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Planning Specialist in Kuala Lumpur to support development projects from feasibility through submissions. You will coordinate with authorities, consultants, and internal teams to ensure compliance with planning guidelines.

The role emphasizes reviewing land information, development proposals, and regulatory requirements, with a focus on timely approvals and robust planning reports for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Property Development, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in property development, development planning, feasibility studies, or authority liaison.
• Experience in residential high-rise, commercial, or mixed-development projects will be an advantage.
• Familiar with local authority approval processes, development planning guidelines, and statutory submission requirements in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting project feasibility studies and planning analyses in line with project objectives.
• Review land information, development proposals, planning requirements, and regulations to support planning decisions.
• Liaise with authorities, councils, agencies, and external consultants on planning approvals and submissions.
• Coordinate with architects, planners, engineers to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Monitor progress of planning submissions and approvals to ensure timely decisions.
• Assist in preparing master plans, development schedules, and planning reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments on development planning and timelines.
• Identify planning issues, regulatory constraints, and project risks, recommending solutions.
• Prepare feasibility reports and progress updates for management.
• Monitor changes in planning policies and local guidelines that affect developments.

• Review land information, development proposals, planning requirements, and relevant regulations to support project planning and decision-making.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, local councils, government agencies, and external consultants on planning approvals, development applications, and statutory submissions.
• Coordinate with architects, town planners, engineers, and other consultants to ensure development proposals comply with authority requirements and planning guidelines.
• Monitor the progress of planning submissions, development orders (DO), building plans, and other relevant authority approvals to ensure timely approval.
• Assist in preparing project master plans, development schedules, and planning reports in line with project objectives and business requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments and project stakeholders on development planning, project timelines, and approval requirements.
• Identify potential planning issues, regulatory constraints, and project risks, and recommend appropriate solutions to facilitate project implementation.
• Prepare feasibility reports, authority submission updates, progress reports, and presentations for management review.
• Monitor changes in planning policies, statutory requirements, and local authority guidelines that may affect ongoing or proposed developments.
