Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Berhad in Indonesia seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead and coordinate construction activities for a new alumina refinery project. Based at West Kalimantan with potential Jakarta assignment, you will manage resources, liaise with consultants, and ensure timely, quality delivery.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering or construction management degree and at least five years’ experience in heavy industry projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or project management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel and based in West Kalimantan or Jakarta, Indonesia.
• Mandarin proficiency desired for Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsabilités

• Assist project manager in overall construction planning and management.
• Coordinate with design consultants and authorities for submissions and approvals.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure timely, quality work.
• Prepare minutes of meetings for subcontractors and staff.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and engineers on planning.
• Ensure safety, quality inspections, and audits.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Control construction drawings.
• Work with safety department on ESH compliance.
• Attend project meetings.

Senior Project Engineer (based at West Kalimantan, Indonesia)

Press Metal is investing in Indonesia to establish an alumina refinery plant through a joint venture with Indonesian companies. The project involves PT Kalimantan Alumina Nusantara (KAN), a joint venture between Press Metal (80% stake), PT Alakasa Alumina Refineri (AAR, 19.77% stake), and PT Dinamika Sejahtera Mandiri (DSM, 0.23% stake). KAN will build an alumina refinery, power plant, jetty, and supporting infrastructure in Sanggau, West Kalimantan.

We look for caliber candidate to join us for the project, based at the General Building and Management Department to execute project tasks, allocating resources, managing stakeholders and implementing the activities and deliverables.

Your duties and responsibilities:-

Assist project manager in overall project construction, management & planning activities.

Coordinate and liaise with design consultants, local submission consultants and authorities for all submission and approval within timeframe for plannign approval, building plan and occupation permit.

To liaise with design consultants and sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure construction works are carried out on time and to quality standards

Prepare minutes of meeting for regular sub-contractor's coordination meeting and internal staff meeting for the project.

Coordinate and liaise with site supervisors and site engineer on project planning from time to time.

To liaise with construction management and internal department on quality inspections, safety inspections & internal/external audit.

Attend relevant meetings related to the project.

Control of construction drawings.

To work closely with safety department on Environment, Safety and Health compliance.

To prepare progress report.

The requirements:-

Diploma, Degree or higher in Civil Engineering/ Construction Management/ Architecture or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of working experience in construction or project management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Willing to travel and based in West Kalimantan/ Jakarta, Indonesia.

Preferable and able to speak and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Experience in handling heavy industry project will be an added advantage.
