Job summary

Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Berhad seeks an experienced Assistant Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to standardise Group EHS policies across sites in Malaysia and drive continuous improvement. You will monitor compliance and coordinate audits and reporting.

Requirements include a degree in OSH or related field, 5–6 years’ EHS experience in manufacturing, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, plus Mandarin is a plus; willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in OSH, Environmental Engineering, Engineering or related field.
• 5–6 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of occupational safety, health and environmental legislation.
• Experience with ISO 14001/45001 and EHS management systems.
• Experience in EHS audits, incident investigations and risk management.
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.

• Develop and standardise Group EHS policies, procedures and programmes.
• Provide technical guidance to entity EHS teams.
• Monitor compliance with legal, Group and ISO 14001/45001 requirements.
• Coordinate Group EHS audits, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Review significant incidents, investigations and preventive actions.
• Analyse Group EHS performance and recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports for Management and support training and knowledge sharing.
• Undertake other duties assigned by Management.

Job Purpose

• Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Group EHS strategies, policies and management systems.
• Provide corporate oversight and technical guidance to entity EHS teams to ensure consistent implementation of Group and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor Group EHS performance, risks and compliance status and recommend improvement actions.
• Coordinate Group-level EHS audits, reporting, capability building and cross-entity improvement initiatives.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
• At least five (5) to six (6) years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Good knowledge of applicable occupational safety, health and environmental legislation.
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and corporate EHS management systems.
• Experience in EHS audits, incident investigations, risk management and performance reporting.
• Experience coordinating EHS matters across multiple sites or business entities is an advantage.
• Relevant professional registration or competency certification is an added advantage.
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willing to travel to operating entities when required.
