Job summary

The Company, a manufacturer of wire and cable products in Malaysia, seeks a Senior Production Executive to join the Subang Airport facility. This full-time role oversees production schedules, coordinates with planning, and ensures processes meet quality, safety, and delivery targets.

You will monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvements, manage inventory, and supervise production staff. Minimum 5 years in production planning or similar, with knowledge of MRP and scheduling.

Responsibilities

About the role

The Advertiser is seeking a Senior Production Executive to join our production team (Plastic and Rubber Industry) at our facility in Subang Airport, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our manufacturing operations. As Senior Production Executive, you will be responsible for managing production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that our manufacturing processes run efficiently and meet quality standards. This role is integral to our operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver products on time whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily production schedules to ensure targets are met within agreed timelines

Coordinate with planning and scheduling teams to optimise production workflows and resource allocation

Oversee adherence to production procedures, quality standards and safety protocols across the manufacturing floor

Liaise with operations, quality assurance and logistics departments to ensure seamless workflow and problem resolution

Track production metrics, KPIs and bottlenecks, providing regular reports to senior management

Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and productivity

Manage inventory levels and material availability to support uninterrupted production

Supervise and support production staff, ensuring they adhere to safety and quality requirements

Respond to production issues promptly and facilitate timely resolutions to minimise downtime

Maintain accurate production records and documentation for compliance and audit purposes

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling or a similar production management role within the manufacturing industry

Strong knowledge of production planning systems, material requirements planning (MRP) and scheduling methodologies

Proven ability to analyse production data, identify trends and implement process improvements

Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively across departments

Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of quality management systems and safety regulations in manufacturing environments

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing or a related field is preferred
