Job summary

METIER FOOD SDN. BHD. is seeking a proactive Senior Procurement & Production Planning Executive to manage raw materials, scheduling and cross-functional coordination.

You will also handle non-production procurement like office supplies, marketing materials and other operations needs. Responsibilities include developing schedules, sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, MESTI and Halal standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in SCM, procurement, food tech, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years in procurement and production planning, preferably in food/FMCG.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality compliance in procurement.
• Multilingual: Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English for cross-functional liaison.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on forecasts, orders and inventory levels.
• Source, negotiate and purchase raw materials and packaging within quality, cost and timeline targets.
• Coordinate production timelines with production teams to ensure on-time manufacturing.
• Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor performance and compliance.
• Liaise with QA/QC to ensure supplier/material compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, MESTI and Halal.
• Collaborate with logistics to ensure timely material delivery.
• Manage procurement for non-production needs including office supplies and marketing materials.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts and production schedules; prepare periodic reports.

Senior Procurement & Production Planning Executive

We are seeking a proactive Senior Procurement & Production Planning Executive to manage raw material sourcing, production scheduling, and coordination with production teams. This role also covers purchasing for non-production needs such as office supplies, marketing materials, and other operational requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring that materials are delivered on time, production runs smoothly, and orders are fulfilled without delays.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain production schedules based on forecasts, orders, and inventory levels.

Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials and packaging in line with quality, cost, and timeline requirements.

Coordinate production timelines with production teams.

Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring performance and compliance.

Liaise with QA/QC teams to ensure supplier and material compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, MESTI, and Halal standards.

Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery.

Manage procurement for non-production activities including office supplies, marketing materials, and other operational requirements.

Maintain procurement records, contracts, and production schedules.

Prepare weekly/monthly reports on procurement and production planning status.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Food Technology, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and production planning, preferably in food/FMCG manufacturing.

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of food safety and quality compliance in procurement.

Able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.

Good command of written and spoken Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English, as the role requires liaising with Mandarin-speaking counterparts and working in a multilingual environment
