Job summary

MVC Resources in Batu Pahat, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production Planner to translate demand into production schedules across daily, weekly, and monthly horizons. You will optimize line utilization, coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams, and ensure material availability.

The role demands 5–8 years in production or supply chain planning within manufacturing, strong MRP/ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics or equivalent), and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in production planning or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing plant-level production schedules, material requirements, and manufacturing capacity.
• Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, production scheduling and demand planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and order requirements.
• Translate demand plans into production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of production lines, machinery, manpower, and plant capacity.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure the availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and other production supplies.
• Monitor material requirements against production schedules to prevent shortages and minimize production disruptions.
• Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory to ensure appropriate stock levels.
• Monitor planning KPIs including production plan attainment, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, inventory turnover, material availability, and wastage.
• Analyze production variances, bottlenecks, and planning inefficiencies, and implement improvement initiatives.
• Improve planning processes, systems, and reporting accuracy using ERP/MRP systems and data analysis.

• Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, production scheduling, and demand planning principles.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
• Experience leading or supervising a planning team is preferred.
