Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager - Processing to manage daily Processing operations, ensuring production output meets plan, while upholding quality, food safety, yield and cost targets.
You will lead the processing team, monitor process parameters, coordinate with Supervisors and Line Leaders, arrange training on GMP, SOP and HALAL standards, and drive continuous improvement.

To support the Assistant Manager - Processing in managing and executing daily Processing operations to achieve the required production output, quality, food safety, yield, efficiency, productivity and cost objectives.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for daily Processing / Blending activities and ensure production is executed according to approved production plan
Monitor process parameters and ensure compliance with approved specifications
Monitor production output, productivity, and yield
Identify abnormalities and initiate corrective actions
Escalate major breakdowns, quality or food safety issues
Arrange manpower according to production requirements and control overtime
Monitor attendance, punctuality and manpower utilization
Coordinate daily work allocation with Processing Supervisors and Line Leaders
Conduct daily briefing and communicate production priorities
Identify manpower competency gaps and arrange training on Safety, GMP, SOP and WI
Monitor employee discipline and performance in accordance with company policy
Ensure worker is adhering to safety rules and regulations
Conduct PA review for Processing Supervisor, Processing Line Leader and Processing Technician
Ensure availability of raw materials, ingredients and chemicals before production
Ensure proper issuance, return and storage of processing materials
Monitor material usage, variance, wastage and stock accuracy
Ensure SAP production and material transactions are accurately maintained
Manage flow out at cold room and rework according to guidelines
Identify equipment abnormality and liaise with Maintenance on machine breakdown
Report to Assistant Manager Processing on major breakdown, quality and food safety related issues and shortcomings to fulfil planning order
Participate in improvement projects and job request for line improvement
Ensure proper documentation for HALAL, HACCP and ISO system
Arrange and coordinate all production trial runs on the whole production process and provide recommendation or follow up action if any issue arises
About you
Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical/Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
Preferably 3-5 years' experience in food manufacturing or process manufacturing
Experience in Processing, Blending or Cooking operations is preferred
Experience in GMP/HACCP/food safety environment
Good knowledge of food manufacturing and Processing operations
Knowledge of production KPI such as OEE, yield, wastage, productivity and efficiency
Possess positive, responsible and self-motivated attitude
