Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production lead to oversee daily operations in Processing and Pack & Fill, coordinating with PMC for production and material planning to meet customer requirements. You will manage resources to maximize efficiency while controlling costs and driving long-term production strategy.

Collaborating with Engineering, QA, Procurement, Logistics and other functions, you will drive OEE, yield and line efficiency, review rolling forecasts and ensure SAP processes

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in FMCG/manufacturing with production management.
• Proven experience managing large-scale production operations.
• Experience in manpower planning, production cost management, capacity planning and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO/FSMS and Halal requirements.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production operations across Processing and Pack & Fill sections.
• Coordinate with PMC for production and material planning to meet customer requirements.
• Optimize production resources to minimize cost and maximize efficiency and output.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Warehouse & Logistics, Safety, QA, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, Finance & IT, HR.
• Achieve Production KPIs including OEE, output, line efficiency, yield, labour productivity, and cost control.
• Review production planning to maximize plant capacity and align lead times with rolling forecast.
• Implement SAP processes in production and ensure regulatory compliance (food safety, quality, GMP).
• Drive cost reduction while maintaining quality and customer service.
• Oversee manpower in outsourced workforce; cost and compliance.
• During transition, manage processing and Fill & Pack across two plants.
• Lead continuous improvement to improve OEE, efficiency, productivity, waste reduction.
• Provide training and development for team; handle disciplinary and performance reviews.

Responsible for daily production operation which consist of Processing and Pack & Fill section. Coordinate with PMC for Production planning and material planning in order to fulfil customers’ requirements.

To manage production resources with lowest possible cost and deliver highest efficiency and output. To be fully responsible for daily Production activities and long-term strategy of the Production.

Work closely with other operation related functions such as Engineering, Warehouse & Logistics, Safety, QA, Procurement to ensure smooth running of production. Partner with other functions including Sales & Marketing, Finance & IT, HR to fulfil the requirements and ensure various guidelines and policies are met.

Responsible for achieving Production KPIs including OEE, production output, line efficiency, yield, labour productivity, Direct overhead cost, material losses, downtime, production schedule adherence and quality performance.

Responsible to constantly review production planning process to maximize the plant capacity and efficiency. Responsible to review the lead time material planning according to rolling forecast to ensure fulfilment of requirements.

Responsible for SAP processes in production process implementation and review.

Ensure compliance of regulatory and statutory requirements such as compliance of food safety, food quality and GMP.

Responsible for production cost management, annual budgeting and cost optimization, including labour cost, energy consumption, material losses, overtime and production-related operating expenses. Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality, food safety and customer service.

Responsible for production overall manpower supply in outsourced workers utilization, costing and compliance.

Other Duties

To responsible for managing production activities for both the processing and Fill & Pack sections across the two plants (LKKF and MF) during the transition period.

Work closely with other operations functions (QA, Procurement), commercial team and Research & Development team in order fulfilment and new product development projects.

Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives to improve OEE, line efficiency, productivity, yield and overall equipment utilization, while reducing waste, downtime, manpower dependency and production losses.

Responsible for team’s overall disciplinary, performance appraisal and development. Plan & develop direct reports to assume bigger roles & responsibilities.

Provide training, guidance and coaching to the team when necessary.

Responsible for all ad-hoc projects follow up and execution and follow up.

Education & Experience: -

• · Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or related discipline.
• · Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in FMCG/manufacturing, with substantial experience in production management.
• · Proven experience managing large-scale production operations, preferably involving processing and multiple packaging technologies.
• · Experience in manpower planning, production cost management, capacity planning and continuous improvement.
• · Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO/FSMS and Halal requirements.
