Job summary

San Soon Seng Food Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Supervisor in Malaysia to oversee the production line, ensure SOP compliance, and drive safe, efficient operations to meet targets.

You will supervise inspections, coordinate with maintenance, ensure food safety, mentor staff, document activities, and report performance to senior management while coordinating with logistics for inventory.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in production supervision or assistant supervision within manufacturing, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and motivating production teams to achieve targets and maintain quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, quality control procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting production schedules, technical drawings and quality specifications.
  • Sound understanding of machinery operation, maintenance requirements and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to respond quickly to production issues and bottlenecks.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including early morning and evening shifts.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency with production management or ERP / SAP systems is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications in food safety or supervisory training are preferred but not essential
