Job summary

Heraeus in Malaysia (Kulai) seeks a focused process leader to drive yield improvements across wire manufacturing. The role requires strong data analysis, SPC-driven control, and proactive problem solving to assure bondability and reliability in wire drawing and finishing steps.

Responsibilities include leading continuous improvement, supporting OTD targets, and implementing corrective actions from analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience in aluminum and copper wire manufacturing, from drawing to spooling, ensuring stable, high-quality performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail on processes.
• Deep knowledge of product-specific processing and capability improvement.

Responsibilities

• Attain yield targets for the assigned area and optimize processes to improve reliability.
• Control variation via SPC, process monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement 8D/failure analyses to address issues.
• Evaluate and determine process flow for new product introductions.

Full responsible for attaining the yield target for the area of responsibility. Understand the relationship between wire manufacturing characteristics and wire bonding performance to ensure consistent bondability, bond strength, and reliability. Invovle in tool optimization, process optimization and start up. Define control as required.

Ensure manufacturing processes are stable, predictable, and capable by controlling variation through SPC, process monitoring, and proactive continuous improvement. Meet OTD and support cost projects as required.

Responsible for evaluating and determining process flow for new products introduction.

Responsible for continual improvement of the yield, productivity, cost, OEE and OTD for area of responsibility.

Responsible for customer complaints issue. To provide 8D / Failure analysis and solution to address complaints.

Responsible for implementing corrective actions derived from analysis to manufacturing processes.

Experience in aluminum and copper wire manufacturing processes—from drawing and annealing to spooling—to consistently achieve stable, high-quality mechanical, electrical, and surface performance Resolves a wide-range of issues in an imaginative as well as practical ways. Has detail process knowledge on the product handled. Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of Wire Drawing manufacturing (Aluminum/Copper).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Well-versed in report writing & presentation skill.
