Job summary

Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Alor Gajah, Melaka to optimise production processes and lead continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, proficiency in manufacturing software and data analysis tools, and strong problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to maintain high quality and yield.
• Diagnose failures and propose alternatives for future production runs.
• Review issues affecting product documentation, material, process and equipment.
• Apply engineering principles to evaluate and solve technical problems.
• Conduct engineering studies and stay abreast of technical advancements.
• Identify and implement cost-effective best practices for processes.
• Provide technical support for different processes and equipment to ensure high quality and yield.
• Manage process improvement and provide solutions for selected processes.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in optimising our production processes and driving continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations. This full-time position is based in Alor Gajah, Melaka, and will see you work closely with our production teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support under general supervision responsible for high quality and yield
• Diagnose failures and determine types of alternatives for future production runs
• Review issues impacting product such as documentation, material, process and equipment
• Apply engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems
• Perform engineering studies and remain abreast of technical advancements
• Identify and routinely use the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes
• Provide technical support for different processes and equipment to manufacturing to ensure high quality and yield
• Manage process improvement, evaluate and provide solutions to selected processes
• Perform any other related or similar duties as required or assigned by superior

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficient in the use of manufacturing software, data analysis tools, and process improvement methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and experience in lean manufacturing principles
