Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a solution-driven Automation Solution Architect to lead design, costing, and technical presales for complex Industry 4.0 and robotics projects across Northern Malaysia.

You will conduct site surveys, develop 2D layouts and 3D simulations, prepare BOMs, and present architectures to clients. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in engineering and at least 5 years in presales or automation design, with travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, mechanical, automation, or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in technical presales, solution architecture, or automation system design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D simulation tools (FlexSim/Visual Components), and advanced Excel costing.
• Knowledge of material handling, robotics, AGVs, ASRS, or warehouse control platforms.
• Willing to travel frequently across the Northern Region for client site evaluations.

We are seeking a solution-driven Automation Solution Architect to lead system design, proposal costing, and technical presales for complex Industry 4.0 and robotics projects across Northern Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Simulation: Conduct factory site surveys to map throughput and develop 2D layouts alongside 3D simulation models.

• Costing & Risk Management: Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), perform margin analysis, and identify technical execution risks early.

• Presales & Client Presentations: Partner with the sales team to present technical proposals, system architectures, and capability decks to prospective clients.

• Solution Scoping: Evaluate capacity requirements and spec out ASRS, robotics, AGVs, and warehouse control systems for optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automation, or Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: 5+ years in technical presales, solution architecture, or automation system design.

• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D simulation software (FlexSim, Visual Components, or similar), and advanced Excel costing.

• Domain Knowledge: Solid expertise in material handling, robotics, AGVs, ASRS, or warehouse control platforms.

• Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently across the Northern Region for client site evaluations.
