Job summary

Molex in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Officer, Planning to drive production planning, scheduling, and inventory control to meet customer delivery needs and optimise stock. You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to maximise third-party revenue while aligning with MPD and CRD goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of planning experience, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and familiarity with Rapid Response, Kinaxis, and APS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 10 years of planning experience.
• Strong planning analysis capability to maximise capacity and output.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with planning systems such as Rapid Response, Kinaxis, and APS.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and drive production schedules to meet internal and external customer requirements, ensuring alignment with MPD and CRD goals by producing the right stock at the right time.
• Lead recovery planning in production failures, initiate alignment meetings, and escalate to HOD as needed.
• Serve as the key interface for Delivery Management to ensure shipment commitments match production execution.
• Review capacity constraints and work with SSP, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production to avoid disruptions.
• Review and commit to monthly output and revenue targets for assigned engineering series.
• Monitor inventory movement and establish buffer stock levels with Site Supply Planning.
• Conduct monthly reviews of DSI, E&O, and shelf life to minimise scrap.
• Provide backup support for other planners during leave or emergencies.
• Support initiatives such as ISO 9001/14001, TQM, and GLSS and apply PBM principles.
