Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a production planner to coordinate with customer service, procurement, logistics, engineering and production teams to ensure on-time delivery. You will develop and implement production plans to meet forecasts and inventory targets, and review schedules daily, weekly, and monthly for all customers and products.

The role requires monitoring capacity, adjusting schedules in a fast-paced environment, and driving improvements through production data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customer service, procurement, logistics, engineering and production to address day-to-day issues and ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet forecasts, inventory targets and delivery timelines.
• Create and review production plans daily, weekly, and monthly for all customers and products.
• Review capacity for machines, manpower and materials to prevent bottlenecks and ensure efficient resource use.
• Adjust schedules in a dynamic environment and trigger recovery actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage subcontract production qualifications and ensure mass production readiness.

• 1. Work and Coordinate with customer service, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, and Production teams to address day-to-day issues and ensure OTD.
• 2. Develop and implement production plans and strategies that meet customer forecasts, inventory targets, and customer delivery timelines.
• 3. Create, review, monitor and maintain detailed production plans, often daily, weekly, monthly, for all customers and products.
• 4. Review and Analyze production capacity for machine, manpower and materials to prevent bottlenecks and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• 5. Adjust schedules in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to address unexpected delays, orders upsize, pull in, and other unexpected issues. Triger recovery plan and action immediately to ensure OTD.
• 6. Analyze production data (cycle time, lead time, non-value added process) to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• 7. Mass production tool life monitoring and triggering for new tooling fabrication. Coordinate with production and quality teams for new tool qualification and mass production.

Inventory and subcon management

• 1. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to maintain optimal stock to ensure OTD and no production disconnection. ( WIP 14 days + FG 36 days )
• 2. Material purchase review ,check to ensure right part ,qty and timing to purchase and do PR first approval.
• 3. Coordinate with the procurement and subcon to ensure timely supply as per plan without impact to production and delivery.
• 4. Sub con new product qualification coordination and sub con quotation review .
• 5. Utilize and manage ERP systems for tracking inventory and production progress. Review and take necessary action when required
• 6. Inventory and aging inventory review and action for aged inventory.

Customer Interaction:

• 1. Customer centric, respond to customer (internal/external) requirements, email and call fast and quick
• 2. Support customer audits and visits.
• 3. Work with the NPI or customer service to address customer requirements and concerns related
