Job summary

Carsem in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a Test Finishing Planner to create and optimize production schedules ensuring timely delivery and quality. You will coordinate with materials planning and manufacturing teams to meet customer demand.

You will manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, analyze forecasts and inventory, monitor WIP, and drive continuous improvement across production lines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory to plan production.
• Manage daily tracker for urgent devices and review in meetings.
• Respond promptly to customer and factory enquiries.
• Monitor WIP and adjust schedules to address delays.
• Optimize capacity, labor, and equipment efficiency.
• Communicate production plans to manufacturing and operations teams.
• Track KPIs such as output, lead times, and inventory.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Maintain production records in the MRP system.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction efforts.
• Monitor inventory to meet targets (Inventory Turns).
• Coordinate with Material Planning to ensure availability of materials for schedules.

Test Finishing planner is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources while meeting customer demand, delivery timelines, and quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels to plan production.
• Manage daily tracker for urgent devices required by customer and reviewed during internal/external meeting.
• Ensure prompt and professional response to customers/factory enquiries in a timely manner.
• Monitor production work in progress (WIP) and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or changes.
• Optimize capacity utilization, labor, and equipment efficiency.
• Communicate production plans clearly to manufacturing and operations teams.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, lead times, and inventory levels.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports in MRP system
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts.
• Monitors and controls inventory to ensure targets are met (Inventory Turns).
• Coordinates with Material Planning to assure availability and timeliness of materials and parts required to support established schedules.
