Job summary

GienTech Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Test Engineer to design and validate mission-critical financial applications hosted on GCP and AWS.

The role focuses on non-functional testing—performance, reliability, security, and operational readiness—with an automation mindset and hands-on scripting experience. You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations to create comprehensive test strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain audit-ready

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of software testing experience.
• Strong understanding of nonfunctional testing methodologies, including performance and load testing, failover and resilience testing, backup and restore validation, and operational readiness testing.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Design: plan and design performance and load tests, failover tests, backup validation, and operational readiness checks.
• Automation & Tooling: develop and maintain automated test scripts using Shell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform; integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Test Execution & Analysis: perform performance, stress, and failover testing for GCP/AWS-hosted applications; analyze results and work with engineering teams to resolve issues; ensure compliance with financial regulations.
