Job summary

Gientech is seeking a Test Engineer specializing in SQA services for the BFSI domain. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks to support end-to-end functional regression and non-functional testing cycles.

You will manage automated frameworks, design and maintain full-stack tests, collaborate with Developers, BAs, and System Owners, and contribute to test data automation and Testing Centre-of-Excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least five years of SQA experience in BFSI
• Minimum 3 years in non-functional testing
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Certified in software test automation or automation tools
• Familiar with SDLC: Waterfall, Agile, DevOps
• Fluent in English language

Job description

We are seeking a Test Engineer who specializes in providing SQA (software quality assurance) services in the BFSI (banking, finance, securities and insurance) domain. The role requires a strong foundation in the software testing practice, particularly on the implementation and maintenance of automated framework in support of end-to-end functional regression and non-functional testing cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage automated frameworks in support of functional regression testing and non-functional test types, including load and performance testing.
• Design, implement and maintain full-stack frameworks using script or model-based approaches with a high degree of reusability, leveraging on enterprise or open-source tool-suites, APIs, SDKs, function libraries and associated utilities
• Work with client-side stakeholders including Developers and Business Analysts or System Owners to clarify and establish expected application or business workflows and associated application and system behaviours, and technical dependencies and configurations
• Work with test design team to obtain domain knowledge transfer and on test cases selection to establish the baseline automated functional regression test suite
• Support automating the test data preparation
• Support test manager and service delivery manager on change request, obtaining work completion sign-off, address escalation, mitigate stoppers, and periodic management reporting
• Support service delivery manager to review Request for Quotation/Proposal and provide relevant input on test automation related activities
• Participate in the on-going effort of implementing best practices and innovation initiatives for the Testing Centre-of‑Excellence

About you

At least five years of work experience in providing SQA in the BFSI industry, holding respective test automation roles in support of functional regression and non-functional related testing

Minimally three years in non-functional testing.

Bachelor's Degree with major in Computer Science or equivalent field

Certified in software test automation or automation tools

Familiar with SDLC, including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps

Must have experience in Loadrunner and/or JMeter

Passionate in technologies, receptive and keenness in learning, meticulous, analytical, and competent in problem‑solving

Fluent in English language, including for both written and verbal communications
