Job summary

Phonelab Group Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled mobile phone technician to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues. You will perform motherboard repairs, component replacements, and software flashing while communicating repair plans clearly to customers.

The role requires good English and multilingual communication, experience in retail operations is a plus, and candidates should be disciplined, independent, and willing to work six days per week.

Qualifications

Technical proficiency in mobile phone hardware repair and software troubleshoot.
Hands-on motherboard repair experience; precise component replacement.
Experience in retail operations is an advantage.
Fluency in English and multiple languages improves communication.
Excellent customer service with ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Computer literacy (basic). Able to work 6 days a week; disciplined and independent.

Responsibilities

Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones using diagnostic tools.
Perform component-level repairs, including soldering on circuit boards.
Replace damaged components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and ports.
Troubleshoot OS/app issues and perform software flashing.
Explain repair solutions clearly to customers and address concerns.
Maintain records of repairs, parts used, and customer interactions.
Stay up-to-date with mobile tech and repair techniques.

Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and desoldering of microchips, connectors, and other surface-mounted devices on mobile phone circuit boards.
Replace damaged or malfunctioning components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and charging ports, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including operating system errors, application malfunctions, and connectivity problems, using software flashing and debugging techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical issues and repair solutions clearly and professionally to customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions, using a computerized system to track inventory and manage service requests.
Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile phone technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
